5 feet off the ground in a cinderblock retaining wall. The hive has been there two years has one 1 inch wide entrance. The bees are not agressive. Private property.
After watching this hive I was inspired to build a Top Bar Hive and get my own colony of Russian Carneolans from Honeybee Genetics in CA. in Spring of 2010.I had a friend build my second Top Bar Hive and will get another colony this May.
