I just discovered the hive three days ago. It's in a maple tree in my yard. The hole is approximately seven feet from the ground facing east.
I am pleased to find this hive as I was wanting to begin beekeeping. I have a large yard of perennial and annual flowers that I have protected from pesticides. I want to keep the hive healthy from mites and need to know what should be done.
