this feral colony is in a huge log that was erected by the owner as a squirrel tree. the owner wanted it moved out but not killed..we moved log and all to our apiary some miles south..near Natchez Trace State Park. i guess the bees didn't like there new location and left taking everything with them. so we know there is a feral colony near us.
