I wish I'd found I hive but I didn't and I realize bees can travel but at the Umstead Hotel in Cary NC they've planted a lot of flowers that are appealing to butterflies and bees. There were honeybees everywhere particularly on some flowering thyme in their herb garden. I asked the hotel if they keep their own hive and they don't so perhaps this is a wild one.
