The hives are 18-20ft above ground in the soffit/ceilings of the building. To date there are four small colonies and one large colony. The color of the comb indicates many years of use and reuse by feral swarms. The colonies are being removed and relocated. According to members of the church bees have been coming and going for 25+ years.
By the amount of deadout debris we have found in the cavities many hives have come and gone through the years.
