Inside the branch of a Live Oak tree. Had a swarm arrive in April 2007. This seemed to slowly disappear in the early spring of 2008 then in April 2008 had another swarm arrive. The tree is in my front yard; the branch is about 10' above the ground. The swarm may have split again recently as there seem to be fewer bees as of about mid-June. There are always bees outside the hive--could it be getting full and too crowded?
