enter the trailhead at Magarita & 255 Highland Ave. Walk down the trail / fireroad for about 300+ yards arround two bents. In one bent look up to your you see a 30 diameter eucalyptus above you to the right at about 12' high. The hive enterance is in the middle of the stump. We know this to bee active since 2005. This winter 2010-11 it was active assuming it survived rather then taken over by a new swarm in spring.
