HIve is in old Oak tree one of few trees left standing in field clear cut for impending development. Brought Don Hopkins and our entymologist friend from Columbia (forgothis name)to see about 3 years ago. Don thinks bees may be Italian descendents of deceased Master beekeeper in area. There is a hole near the ground and at least one more higher up. Discovered ~ 4 yrs.ago by dear friends whose neighbor was caretaking land before owner sold for development. Further clearing of land on hold due do econonmy; have attempted to contact atty's for developer to no avail. Will be happy to show tree.
